Mechanic

Joule offers its customers a mobile maintenance service. This means that you spend a lot of your time on the road, delivering bikes to customers, as well as carrying out maintenance and repair services.

• Bike delivery and maintenance at customer locations (60% of your time)
• Receiving, assembling and preparing new bikes (25% of your time)
• Bike repair and maintenance in the workshop (15% of your time)

👀WHO ARE WE REALLY LOOKING FOR?

Are you wiz with hubs? Can you grease gears without making a mess? Does the whirr of a spinning crank make your heart sing? Then JOULE is the place for you! We are looking to hire a bike mechanic who can start almost immediately. What are we looking for?

• You are customer-focused
• You have at least five years of experience working as a bike mechanic
• You have a category B driving licence and capable of driving a van
• You enjoy sharing your know-how with less experienced co-workers
• You always get the job done (doing it right the first time)
• You can repair a bike before it breaks down (proactive maintenance)
• You have experience making Bosch and Shimano system read-outs
• You know Nexus gear hubs like the back of your hand
• You know how to adjust an Enviolo gear
• You can do an oil change without spilling a drop
• You are self-reliant and able to find solutions to more complex problems
• You have experience working with IT systems for work orders and stock management
• You work in an organised and structured manner
• You are fluent in Dutch and can also speak basic French.
• You are enthusiastic, motivated, your battery never runs flat and you know a good joke or two
